Frequently Asked Questions

The Smart has a compact 4.3” touchscreen with clinical protocols listed alphabetically, while the Premium features a larger 7” screen with additional software upgrades such as Body Part Navigation, Quick protocols to save favourites and patient database.  As well,t he Premium system has a dial for adjusting parameters, whereas the Smart has buttons. Both deliver the same electrotherapy performance.

Yes, all BTL electrotherapy systems includes both traditional IFC, using 4 electrodes and Pre-modulated IFC, which uses 2 electrodes as part of their waveforms.  

Yes. The BTL-4625 Smart has two independent channels, which allows different waveforms or parameters to be applied simultaneously to different body area.  The only limitation on this is if you want to do a 4 pole application, such as traditional IFC.

Most clinics use a 2 channel system, which has 4 electrodes.  This is sufficient for using traditional quad-pole IFC.

Yes. The unit comes with reusable rubber electrodes, sponge covers, and fixation straps to secure the electrodes to the patient.
