The NuStep T4r Series

The NuStep T4r is a compact, low-impact recumbent cross trainer designed for rehabilitation clinics, physiotherapy practices, senior wellness centres, and home care environments across Canada.

Its intuitive design and robust construction support users of virtually any fitness or mobility level, making it ideal for rehab, geriatric fitness, and general functional training.

The unique movement of the NuStep T4r simulates a natural walking pattern by coordinating arm and leg motion in a single fluid movement, providing full-body engagement with reduced joint stress.

The NuStep T4r is an ideal option for clinics that work with post-stroke patients or patients with limited mobility. Multiple accessibility options ensure that the NuStep T4r can be used by any patient, regardless of current limb abilities. 

Users of the NuStep T4r trainer need only one working limb to operate the T4r when paired with accessibility options (see below). All NuStep systems feature a seat with a swivel for easy access and wheelchair transfer.

FAQ – NuStep T4r

The T4r and T5 are similar, affordable systems that allow clinics and home users to add a NuStep at a great price! The T4 has similar features, but does not have at low step through design, the upgraded display or contact heart rate options. Perhaps most importantly, the T5 has a higher weight capacity and a more adjustable seat.

400 lb (182 kg) is supported, if you need to accommodate larger patients, consider the T5 or T5XR.

No, the unit is self-powered. It only uses four AA batteries for the console display.

Yes, up to 8.5″ (21.5 cm) step length for flexible motion.

It offers 10 resistance levels, allowing for progressive training from rehabilitation to fitness.

Yes, with its seat slider mechanism, it can accommodate users roughly between 4'6" and 6'4".

The NuStep T4r step-through height is 9-12”.  If you need something lower, the NuStep T5, T5XR or T6 systems might be better for you.

Press the PACE PARTNER button to begin program set up. The default pace partner pace will appear in the SPM display. To increase or decrease the default SPM pace, press the pace partner – or + buttons until the desired pace displays in the console window then press the SELECT button to complete the program set up. Start stepping and increase your stepping speed so you can keep up with your pace partner. During your workout, you may increase or decrease the selected pace by using the – or + buttons.
