The BTL 4000 Series Interferential & Electrotherapy systems are designed and manufactured in Europe for clinics that need a broad range of low and medium frequency currents in a professional, easy-to-use electrotherapy device. Available as standalone 2-channel IFC/electrotherapy units or in combination with other therapies, the BTL 4000 Series gives clinicians access to 32 different waveforms.
BTL 2-channel IFC/electrotherapy units include over 30 waveforms, such as 2-pole IFC, 4-pole IFC, TENS, Russian stimulation and Microcurrent. Both BTL stim models include preset protocols, therapeutic encyclopaedia content, programmable sequences and an adjustable frequency range suitable for pain management and muscle stimulation.
Clinics can choose between the Smart and Premium configurations. Smart models include a 4.3” colour touchscreen and alphabetical protocol access. Premium models add a 7” colour touchscreen, adjustable QUICK protocols, Body Parts navigation, patient database functionality and a rotary knob for intensity adjustment.

Mechanism of Action
Electrotherapy delivers controlled electrical current through body tissues. The flow of current affects ion movement and ion concentrations across cell membranes. These interactions can produce nerve and muscle depolarization, which supports therapeutic processes related to pain relief, muscle activation, muscle relaxation, tissue healing and swelling management.
Different waveforms produce different physiological effects, allowing clinicians to match treatment parameters to patient goals. BTL electrotherapy systems include over 30 waveforms, such as 2-pole and 4-pole interferential current, TENS, Russian stimulation, Microcurrent, and additional low- and medium-frequency currents.
