A revolutionary dynamic resting hand splint, SaeboStretch helps neurologically impaired clients maintain or improve motion while minimizing joint damage and pain. Saebo’s energy-storing technology allows individuals suffering from spasticity to stretch comfortably and safely resulting in increased motivation and compliance. The SaeboStretch overcomes clinical concerns that can result from traditional hard static splints including joint damage, hypermobility, and contractures. This novel splint uses a revolutionary stretch technology, which allows the fingers to move through flexion caused by associated reactions and increased tone. Following relaxation, the fingers gradually return to the desired resting position. The SaeboStretch includes three interchangeable dynamic hand pieces that can accommodate various levels of spasticity.

Contracture. What you need to know.
Contracture is a loss of motion over time due to abnormal shortening of the soft tissue structures spanning one or more joints. These include skin, ligaments, tendon, muscles and joint capsules. Loss of motion in any of the structures restricts joint mobility leading to pain, stiffness and eventually contracture.
How to measure
Measure across the proximal phalanges of digits 2-5 just proximal to the PIP joints. Please make sure the fingers are in the adducted position. Do not wrap the tape down the lateral or medial side of the hand. Consider the length of the fingers when deciding between 2 different sizes.
(i.e., shorter fingers = smaller size)
Please see reference video above on how to measure.
