The Kinesio Taping Association (KTA) offers a Kinesio Tape Home Study Program for clinical practitioners (PT, AT, DC, MD, MT...). This program is approved by the NATABOC for 1 contact hour of CEU in the US. For other medical professionals, continuing education credit can be applied for by the individual practitioner to their province/state organization.
This program includes basic theory, functions and the application principles of the Kinesio Taping Method. In addition, Jim Wallis, MS, ATC, CKTI takes the practitioner through some of the most common clinical conditions.
The steps to complete the Home Study Program are:
1. Purchase the Clinical Kinesio Taping DVD (item OC-4676, CAD$60 + shipping through OrthoCanada - 1-800-561-0310 or order online at www.orthocanada.com)
2. After watching the DVD, contact KTA (1-888-320-TAPE or e-mail education@kinesiotaping.com) to request the Home Study video test.
A passing grade of at least 80% is required in order to receive your certificate of completion.
3. Mail the exam with a $10 check to:
