Speed Exercise Pulleys

Our dual-handle Speed Pulley has a cable that is fed through a series of 10 cm ball bearing pulley wheels to eliminate the ballistic effect of the weight stack. It is designed to be smooth, comfortable and safe for training at higher speeds than a regular pulley. Used for training such as kicking and throwing, closed gait and acute tendon injuries and muscle weakness, it helps build strength and endurance.

The Speed Pulley is even more versatile than the regular pulleys in that it adds an additional method of adjusting the dosage of exercise. By "slowing down" the movement of the weight stack in relation to the speed of the pulley rope, it also allows the utilization of the changes of speed in rehabilitation. As a result, workloads can be increased or decreased without changing the number of weight increments.

The double-handle version Speed Pulley is also an integrated part of multi-directional rehabilitation. By dosing for stability and mobility at the same time the therapist is loading both components of functional movement simultaneously.

  • Weight stack is 65 kg (5 x 3 kg, 10 x 5 kg)
  • 28 x 244 cm
  • Wall-mounting hardware included
  • Optional Lat Bar
  • Optional Plexiglas cover for weight stack
  • Free standing option
  • Bilateral System mounted on 2 steel rails to permit adjustment
